Help with Mosaik, step by step.

How do I get started with Mosaik?

Download Mosaik from the App Store, open it and follow the short setup. You don’t need an account: your habits are stored on your iPhone. Add your first habit, or start from a ready-made set and edit anything.

The free plan includes up to 3 habits, the grid and streaks, goals and challenges, the journal, breaks and easy days, milestones, reminders, Siri and a canvas. Mosaik Plus adds unlimited habits and more (see prices and subscriptions below).

How do I add or edit a habit?

1. On the Today tab, tap + (Add habit).
2. Give it a name and an icon, and choose a rhythm: every day, or a few times a week.
3. For an amount, turn on Measurable (Track a count) and set a daily target and a unit, such as 8 glasses. Partial days fill part of the grid.
4. Optionally add a Reminder, a Category, a Goal link or Chain after to stack it after another habit. Then tap Save habit.

To edit a habit, open it and choose Edit habit. You can change past days from its history (Edit days), and hold any day to add a note and your mood and energy. To reorder habits or categories, go to Settings → Organize habits. Goals live on the Goals tab, and you can start a 30- or 60-day challenge from the Stats tab.

How do reminders and habit stacking work?

• Reminders: in a habit’s settings, turn on Reminder and pick a time. Mosaik sends one gentle notification at that time each day.
• Habit stacking: set Chain after to another habit. When you check off the first one, Mosaik nudges you about the next.
• Notifications off? Turn them on in Settings → Notifications, or in iPhone Settings → Notifications → Mosaik.
• Quiet hours (Plus): silence habit reminders between two times, in Settings → Reminder options.

How do I add a Mosaik widget?

• Home Screen: touch and hold an empty spot until the apps jiggle, tap Edit → Add Widget, search for Mosaik and choose a size.
• Lock Screen: touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize, choose the Lock Screen, tap the widget area below the clock and add Mosaik.
• Free includes the Mosaik medium widget and the Canvas widget. Plus adds the single-habit, Today and Lock Screen widgets. After upgrading, open the app once so the widgets pick up your Plus status.

In Mosaik, Settings → Widgets previews every size with your own habits.

How do I use Siri and Shortcuts with Mosaik?

Every habit works with Siri automatically. Try saying:

• “Log water in Mosaik” (use any habit’s name)
• “Log a habit in Mosaik”
• “What’s left today in Mosaik”

In the Shortcuts app you can run Log habit as an automation, for example when you leave the gym or get home. See Settings → Siri & Shortcuts in Mosaik for more.

How does Apple Health auto-tracking work?

With Mosaik Plus, habits can check themselves off from Apple Health: steps, sleep, water and mindful minutes. Access is read-only: Mosaik never writes to Apple Health.

1. Go to Settings → Apple Health and tap Connect Apple Health.
2. Choose which data Mosaik may read in Apple’s permission sheet.
3. When creating or editing a habit, turn on Auto-track and pick the data source.

To change or revoke access later, open the Health app and go to your profile → Privacy → Apps → Mosaik.

What are breaks and easy days?

• Breaks: for holidays, illness or a heavy week. Go to Settings → Take a break and choose 3, 7 or 14 days, or “until I’m back”. Your canvas waits (break days use no pieces), streaks and momentum stay as they are, and reminders go quiet. Tap Resume to come back early.
• Easy days: when you come back after a missed day, the Today screen offers Make today easy. On an easy day, one small thing, like a minute of a habit, fills today’s piece.

How does the 66-day canvas work?

Choose a picture from the canvas gallery. For 66 days, each full day of habits reveals one piece of sea glass, and the image stays hidden until the last piece. Missed days stay in the picture as darker, quieter pieces; nothing resets. The free plan includes the Wave and Meadow canvases, and Plus unlocks every canvas.

Starting a new canvas before the current one is finished clears the canvas in progress. Your habits and history stay exactly as they are. Why 66 days? It’s the median time to form a habit in a 2010 study.

How do sync and my account work?

Mosaik works without an account, and your data stays on your iPhone. To keep habits in step across devices, sign in with Apple or email at the top of Settings. Cloud sync is part of Mosaik Plus and is encrypted. Signing out keeps your habits on the device.

Forgot your password? On the sign-in screen, enter your email and tap Forgot password? to get a reset link.

How do I restore my purchases?

Make sure you’re signed in to the App Store with the Apple ID you used to buy Plus. Then go to Settings → Subscription → Restore purchases (the Mosaik Plus card near the top of Settings opens Subscription). Mosaik Plus is tied to that Apple ID and doesn’t support Family Sharing.

How do I redeem an offer code?

Go to Settings → Subscription → Redeem code and enter the code in Apple’s sheet. You can also redeem it in the App Store app: tap your account picture, then Redeem Gift Card or Code.

How do I cancel or change Mosaik Plus?

Apple manages every App Store subscription, so you cancel through your Apple ID:

1. Open the iPhone Settings app and tap your name.
2. Tap Subscriptions, then Mosaik.
3. Tap Cancel Subscription, or choose another plan.

You can also get there from Mosaik: Settings → Subscription → Manage. Plus stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel a subscription. To avoid being charged after a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.

How do I export or delete my data?

• Export (Plus): Settings → Data & export → Export data (CSV) saves your full history as a CSV file.
• Delete your account: Settings → Delete account permanently removes your account and synced data from our servers. Habits on the device stay unless you remove them, and an active subscription must be cancelled separately with Apple.
• Remove everything from your iPhone: delete the Mosaik app.
